Crocheted bike basket

I wanted a front basket for my bike but the bike shop didn't have the matching wire one in stock (to match the back basket), and I didn't want to pay almost 100 bucks for a wicker basket, so I crocheted this cover for a dollar store container that I plan to use as a bike basket.

 I couldn't find yarn to match my pretty coral colored bike so I did the basket in a variety of colors, mixing tangerine, peach, and pink, with a bit of blue (for the tire walls), white (for the seat), and lilac (just because, lol).

 Tomorrow I'll attach the basket to the bike using shower curtain hooks; the circular kind.  I couldn't find white, so I got silver instead.  I'll pick up some white and switch them out as soon as I can, as I don't want the silver ones to rust.
