The dogs and I went for another nice walk at Hiawatha Park today. The weather was gorgeous; sunny and cool. I picked a LOT of moss, and this time I found some really cool mosses and lichens. I even found some with elf cups in them. We had a big wind storm a few weeks ago, and some trees were down, so I was able to get some branches with moss and different kinds of lichen too. I bought more jars, and big tupperware containers to store the moss.
I'd be in great shape if I picked moss every day, lol. I bent over so much it was like walking and doing toe touches at the same time. Man, is my back sore now.
We came out of the bush just before sunset. As I drove home, the sun started to set. It was so beautiful that I walked the dogs again, at the Marina, just to enjoy the light. I love the light just as the sun starts to go down; it seems golden. Then the sky turned orange and pink. I wish I would have brought my camera. I'll post a picture I took a few days ago, of the Marina at sunset.
Welcome to my blog
If you enjoy finding a lot of different outlets for your creativity, then we may just be kindred spirits.
This blog is an outlet for my interest in miniatures, crochet, plastic canvas, and many other various arts and crafts.
I also love walking, taking digital photos, and most recently, have rediscovered an old love...bike riding! I purchased an amazing new bike, a comfy Townie by Electra this summer, and have been having a grand time exploring the area as though for the first time. It's like being a kid again!
If you enjoy any of these things too, pour a cup of coffee and tea, sit down, and join me.
