Welcome to my blog

If you enjoy finding a lot of different outlets for your creativity, then we may just be kindred spirits.
This blog is an outlet for my interest in miniatures, crochet, plastic canvas, and many other various arts and crafts.

I also love walking, taking digital photos, and most recently, have rediscovered an old love...bike riding! I purchased an amazing new bike, a comfy Townie by Electra this summer, and have been having a grand time exploring the area as though for the first time. It's like being a kid again!

If you enjoy any of these things too, pour a cup of coffee and tea, sit down, and join me.

Take care!

Front Line Hero Bear, Crochet

Yesterday was Mother's Day, May 10, 2020.

I have been in lockdown with my elderly parents, as I live with them.  We all have health issues so I couldn't go shopping for my Mom, so I crocheted her this cute little Frontline Hero Bear.

Frontline Hero Bear, crochet

I found the pattern for free on Ravelry.  You can find it here.

Mr. Bear is tired from working hard and needs a rest.

He takes off his scrub cap,

...and his surgical mask, and  his stethoscope, and takes a quick break.

It is over much too soon, and Mr. Bear starts to get dressed again.

He puts on a fresh mask, his stethoscope, and last but not least, his scrub cap.

Soon, he is ready for work again; saving lives from the dreaded Covid 19.

Mr. Bear says, "Stay safe, practice social distancing, and wash your hands".

He is also ready for his most important job of making my Mom smile for Mothers Day during a pandemic.
