Welcome to my blog

If you enjoy finding a lot of different outlets for your creativity, then we may just be kindred spirits.
This blog is an outlet for my interest in miniatures, crochet, plastic canvas, and many other various arts and crafts.

I also love walking, taking digital photos, and most recently, have rediscovered an old love...bike riding! I purchased an amazing new bike, a comfy Townie by Electra this summer, and have been having a grand time exploring the area as though for the first time. It's like being a kid again!

If you enjoy any of these things too, pour a cup of coffee and tea, sit down, and join me.

Take care!

Operation Inspiration

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds is flying across Canada and today they flew over my house.

"We’ve been asked to do what we do best… inspire Canadians," said Lieutenant-Colonel Mike French, Commanding Officer, Canadian Forces Snowbirds. "Through Operation INSPIRATION, we not only want to salute the front-line health-care workers, first responders, and essential workers but also all Canadians doing their part to stop the spread of COVID-19. We want Canadians to know we’re in this with you." excerpt from https://northernontario.ctvnews.ca/canadian-forces-snowbirds-fly-over-sault-ste-marie-monday-morning-1.4933802.

I was happy to have my new camera and managed to take these shots of the amazing and inspirational show.

Snowbirds

It was very moving, unexpectedly so, and I had tears in my eyes as I watched them circle back and fly over my house 3 or 4 times this morning.

I'd never seen them in real life, only on TV, so it was quite an experience. So glad my Dad was able to see them too.

Thank you, Canadian Forces Snowbirds, for doing such an amazing job at helping to keep up morale in Canada during this Covid 19 pandemic.  Greatly appreciated. Fly safe.
