Welcome to my blog

If you enjoy finding a lot of different outlets for your creativity, then we may just be kindred spirits.
This blog is an outlet for my interest in miniatures, crochet, plastic canvas, and many other various arts and crafts.

I also love walking, taking digital photos, and most recently, have rediscovered an old love...bike riding! I purchased an amazing new bike, a comfy Townie by Electra this summer, and have been having a grand time exploring the area as though for the first time. It's like being a kid again!

If you enjoy any of these things too, pour a cup of coffee and tea, sit down, and join me.

Take care!

August 30, 2021, Goulais Bay Camp Life, A Gorgeous Day and a Long Walk

 Another Cloudy Sunrise

Aug. 30/21 Sunrise over Goulais Bay

The sunrise this morning was amazing!  It was cloudy but it made for some dramatic photos!  The oranges and blacks of the sky and the silvery grey of the water was so striking!  The top photo is my favorite sunrise photo. I'd like to paint it digitally, with my new Ipad.

Later that day, I decided to go for a walk to the end of the mission road, where the government dock is.  Then I walked further down the shoreline, past the reserve and all of the camps.

I love collecting rocks on the shoreline.  I found a cool one while sitting on this log.

Cool rock that looks like a poppy flower is embedded in it.

It looks like a poppy flower, to me.

There are so many rocks to look at and collect, lol.  I always come home with all of my pockets full. I often bring a bag to collect even more, but forgot this day.

This apple tree smelled sooooooo good!  Lots of apples had fallen under it.

Cool mushroom, Goulais Bay ON

There were so many mushrooms everywhere.  I love mushrooms and would love to learn which are edible and which are not.  My parents know how to identify them but always refused to teach me. I think they were afraid I'd make a mistake and kill us all, lol.
